The Henry County4 -H Project days have been completed! Thank you
to all of our members, parents, volunteers, advisors, staff and judges
in helping make the week a successful one for all involved in the
project judgings! A special thank you to the American Legion for the
use of the Legion Hall and to Senior Leadership Club for making sure
volunteers and judges were fed. We appreciate evereyone's efforts!
Our judges are hired for their expertise and knowledge in twelve
different project categories, worked individually with our 4-H'ers

The link to on-line register for PAS shows in the Maumee Valley EERA is now up and running. Deadline to submit your registration materials is June 1st, but early is on time! Please be sure to select the county PAS shows you plan to attend: Henry, Putnam, Allen, Hancock, OR Fulton. *Maumee Valley EERA 4-H & FFA members include Allen, Defiance, Fulton, Hancock, Henry, Lucas, Paulding, Putnam, VanWert, Williams counties. If you are participating in a PAS Show outside of the Maumee Valley EERA, please type in the location in the OTHER box.

The meeting scheduled for Thursday March 22, 2018 6:30pm for the 4-H/FFA Member & Parent Meeting has had a location change. The meeting will be held at the First Church of Christ 800 Glenwood Ave. Napoleon. This meeting is an informational meeting designed to also provide the required quality assurance education for our horse project members. If you are a horse project member and unable to attend the meeting, please get in touch with Laura Rohlf at your earliest convenience.

All Henry County 4-H and FFA members who wish to enroll in and plan to exhibit a beef or dairy
beef market steer or market heifer are reminded that you must participate in annual weigh-in/ID
day. The Weigh-In/ID day is RESCHEDULED for Saturday January 20th 8:00am-11:30am at the
Henry County Fairgrounds, Napoleon. Should a member have a conflict with the scheduled
Weigh-In/ID hours, you must contact Laura Rohlf, Extension Educator, 4-H at 419-592-0806 as

If you are a 4-H teen, ages 14-18 as of January 1st, 2018 (and at least a Freshman), you are invited to apply to serve on the Henry County Junior Fair Board. Application deadline is September 1st, 2017. This application is for 4-H representation to the board. Each of the county FFA Chapters selects their own reps for the board as does Farm Bureau Youth. ALL current board representatives and Auxiliary members are required to submit an application in order to be considered.

The Henry County Junior Fair Livestock Sale begins at 9:30am Thursday August 17th. The sale, located in the Livestock Show arena on the northwest end of the fairgrounds, is an opportunity for businesses and individuals to support 4-H and FFA members who have raised market livestock. Martha Gebers, Sale Coordinator, has been working diligently on the sale book which includes add-on buyers names as a means of recognition of their support.

The Henry County Special Interest 4-H Project Results are available for your review! Click on the link below and search for the project "area" that are highlighted in green. State Fair participants are also posted below each project area. Starting Monday July 17th 9:00am State Fair participants may come into the office to pick up their State Fair ticket and North Lot Pass for the state competition. You will also need to pick up the information that tells you specifically what to take with you for your State Fair Judging.
